VOLUNTEERING
Our participants in the CURE programs and activities come from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. They all have some areas of special needs. And while we all do - our young adults deal with profound challenges on a daily basis. Whether it's involved autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, or some medically fragile condition, you'll be amazed at their individual strengths and personalities.
PARTICIPANTS
Our educators and primary adult leaders all have certification in special education. Many have years of experience in the field. The project director has been teaching full time in special needs education for the past 35 years, but who's counting anyways! What counts more perhaps than the degrees, is the love and respect our educators have for our participants.
